Gabrielle Benitez, Clinical Intern

RPT™ credential through ongoing training and supervision

Gabrielle holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of New Mexico and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at New Mexico Highlands University. As a graduate student intern, she focuses on play therapy, art therapy, trauma therapy, somatic therapy, and expressive arts therapy.

 

Gabrielle is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) and a graduate of the Trauma-Informed Yoga Psychology School in Canmore, Canada. She has also completed specialized training in Kid’s Yoga and Mindfulness for children ages 2-12 through the Next Generation Yoga School in Bexley, OH. She believes in the profound connection between the mind and the body and the transformative power of creativity and imagination in the healing process.

 

As an advocate for neurodiversity and a parent of two neurodiverse children, Gabrielle is deeply committed to supporting individuals and families navigating autism and ADHD. She actively works to promote educational and accommodation resources and family-centered support in the learning environment. She has contributed featured articles on these topics to publications such as Practical Homeschooling and Autism Parenting Magazine.

 

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and pets, playing board games, leading children’s game groups, traveling to the beach, and reading.
